Azerbaijan, the nation and former Soviet republic, is a transcontinental country bounded by the Caspian Sea and Caucasus Mountains, which span Asia and Europe. Its capital, Baku, is famed for its medieval walled Inner City. Within the Inner City lies the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, a royal retreat dating to the 15th century, and the centuries-old stone Maiden Tower, which dominates the city skyline. It also has one of the highest literacy rates in the world (99.79%).
It is the most concentrated nation for mud volcanoes and its famous Yanar Dağ or Burning Mountain has been blazing for over 65 years.

Brief Itinerary
Day 1: ARRIVAL in Baku
Arrival at Heydar Aliyev International Airport. A local representative will be there to greet you
Drive to and check in at a hotel. Settle in
Lunch in a restaurant. Choice of Local/International/Indian.
Assemble at hotel lobby and proceed for the evening panoramic city tour
Highland Park - Alley of Martyrs National Assembly- also transliterated as Milli Majlis or the Flame Towers- the tallest skyscrapers in Baku
Baku Crystal Hall - an indoor arena located on the coast of Baku near National Flag Square. Construction of the arena began in August 2011 and finished in April 2012—in time for it to host its first major event, the 2012 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest
Walk through Baku Boulevard which stretches along a south-facing bay on the Caspian Sea. It traditionally starts at Freedom Square continuing west to the Old City and beyond. Since 2012, the Yeni Bulvar (New Boulevard) has virtually doubled the length to 3.75 kms.

Day 2: Old City Tour

Assemble at the hotel lobby. Head for the Old City tour.
Old City or Inner City is the historical core of Baku. The Old City is the most ancient part of Baku, which is surrounded by walls for protection. In 2007, the Old City had a population of about 3000. In December 2000, the Old City of Baku, including the Palace of the Shirvanshahs and Maiden Tower, became the first location in Azerbaijan to be classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Nizami Street known for shopping. The street's history could be traced back to Baku's town-planning project of 1864. The street runs through the city's downtown from west to east. Total length of the street is 3,538 m.
Fountains Square is a public square in downtown Baku. The square was previously called Parapet and is often referenced to by the same name now. The name of the fountains derives from the presence of dozens of fountains throughout the square first constructed during Soviet rule of Azerbaijan.
Deniz Mall - located on land reclaimed from the Caspian Sea, Deniz Mall is a
120,000 m² entertainment, leisure, and dining destination over five floors. It is Azerbaijan’s premier entertainment venue. A ‘flame’ tower is the centerpiece of eight star-shaped wings inspired by Azerbaijan’s national emblem.

Day 3: Gabala (The Mountains)
Post breakfast in Baku, drive to Gabala in the north-west of Azerbaijan covering a distance of 225 km (3 hours)
Local lunch on the way or in Gabala
Halt in Ismayilli forest for a photo op
Excursion in “Tufandaq” Winter-Summer Tourism Complex
offers cable car rides at any time of the year, skiing on the ski
tracks of different difficulty levels, ski training, and ski school,
catering service (café and restaurants), entertainment centers for
kids, hotel and other services.(Cable Car with 2 lines included)
Lunch in local restaurant
Nohur Lake - located in Gabala, another region of Azerbaijan that one passes when travelling to Sheki. This lake is not on the way but once we go a bit deeper towards the mountains this beautiful view opens up in front of you.
Return back to Baku.

Day 4: LAND OF FIRE Tour

Drive to FIRE WORSHIPPERS’ TEMPLE - The most famous fire temple is the well-preserved temple Ateshgah ("the Fire Place") in Surakhany. The temple was built over a pocket of natural gas that fueled a vent providing an 'eternal' fire. (Entrance included)

Trip to "FIRE MOUNTAIN"-"Yanardag" - a mountain on Absheron
peninsula, 25 km from north of Baku. Literally, word "Yanardag" means
"Blazing mountain". Blazing bodies of flame dance on stones and the floor.
Yanardag is a natural gas fire that blazes continuously on a hillside on the
Absheron Peninsula on the Caspian Sea near Baku, the capital of
Azerbaijan, which is known as the "land of fire.”
Heydar Aliyev Center - a 57, 500 sq mtr building complex in Baku designed by Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid and noted for its distinctive architecture and flowing, curved style that eschews sharp angles. The center is named after Heydar Aliyev, the first secretary of Soviet Azerbaijan from 1969 to 1982, and president of Azerbaijan Republic from October 1993 to October 2003. (Photoshoot outside)

Day 5: Shopping Tour
Star tour with Local Sweet Shop, proceed to local wine and alcoholic drinks shop. Visit dry fruits and sweets shop

After Baku mall drop off Baku Outlet Park - On February 1, 2011 Baku Outlet Park started operating in Baku Bus Station. Zara, H & M, Pull & Bear, Bershka, Stradivarius, Adidas, Nike, Reebok, Puma, and other brands.
Clothing can be purchased at a great discount throughout the year. Baku Outlet Park gained popularity by buyers from the very beginning of its opening.
Genclik Mall: - located in 10 minutes distance from city center by taxi. Genclik mall is the biggest Mall in Baku and contains over 80 stores, big bowling halls, the biggest movie halls, 3D cinema, playground for children, Bravo supermarket, VIP restaurants and food courts.
