Overview:

The word ‘Bugyal’ means meadow and Dayara is one of the prettiest high altitude meadows in India. Situated at a perfect height of 3300 meters, vast grasslands pimpled with small lakes give this place a beauty of its own. In winters, Dayara transforms into a beautiful Ski destination. Suitable for trekking all year around (apart from monsoons); Dayara offers beautiful views, gentle slopes and beautiful forests which is a package hard to ignore. With Laidback, you will be staying in a beautiful homestay before the trek, and in a choice of either alpine style cozy tents for two or Laidback luxury tents that accommodate anywhere between 4-6 people comfortably at each campsite. The Dayara Meadow

Brief Itinerary

Day 1: ARRIVAL /ACCLIMATISE: Plan to arrive in Mussoorie before 1 pm. After a nourishing and relaxing lunch we head to Barshu village, Uttarkashi by road. Total distance is 160 Km (approx. 6 hours). Stay overnight in a comfortable ethnic village home stay.

Day 2: ASCEND We start our trek from Barshu village via Barnala Lake to Dayara Bugyal. We trek for 9 km (5-6 hours) to our campsite. Stay overnight in camp.

Day 3: EXPLORE After breakfast we start exploring the Dayara meadow. We trek up to Bakariya top where we reach our maximum altitude of 3810 meters and head back to our campsite. Total distance covered is 10 km (5-6 hours). Stay overnight in camp.

Day 4: DESCEND Post breakfast, we head back to Barshu or alternatively we can take a parallel path to Raithal village. We trek for 9 km (3-4 hours) and drive back to Mussoorie or Dehradun (5-6 hours). We can all head our separate ways. For those wanting to stay back, can do so in a Laidback recommended boutique hotel (at your own expense) and head back home the next day post breakfast.

Exclusions:

 Round-trip transportation cost from Delhi to Mussoorie (and back)**

 Personal expenses such as laundry, alcoholic drinks, etc

 Any kind of insurance

 Any claims due to natural calamity such as landslide/road blockage

 Any service not mentioned under tour inclusion

 The tour takes us through areas of religious significance and service of alcohol and non-veg food may not be permitted in certain areas

 Anything apart from the inclusions

Payment Schedule:

50% of the tour cost to be given at the time of booking. The remainder, one day before the tour commences

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations made beyond 30 days will qualify for a full refund after deducting bank/credit card charges if applicable. Thereafter, refund shall be made as follows: • 50% of the total amount charged if cancelled 2 weeks prior the trip • 75% of the total amount charged if cancelled 1 week prior the trip • 100% Cancellation charge in if cancelled less than 1 week of travel/postponement of the trip/no show
